Q. How long will my Oxide Arts piece last?
With proper care your piece will last indefinitely. We neutralise and seal our pieces however the oxidised patina will develop slightly over time. Like any piece of artwork, placing your Oxide Arts piece in a harsh environment can deteriorate it's appearance over time. We recommend a dry environment without extremes of temperature for the best results.
Q. Can I clean my Oxide Arts piece?
Yes, your piece is sealed and can therefore be cleaned with a dry, soft cloth to remove dust. If your piece has light staining we recommend to use a cotton pad lightly moistened with water only. We do not recommend using any chemical or cleaning agents on your piece as this may react with the coating or cause the oxidisation process to restart.
Q. Can my Oxide Arts piece be placed in an outdoor location?
We do not recommend placing the piece in an area that is exposed to direct sunlight and the elements. Despite our sealing process, extended exposure to extremes of temperature, direct sunlight and rain will likely deteriorate your artwork.
Q. Do you have a physical shop or gallery I can visit?
At this time we do not have a permanent shop or gallery location, however we regularly attend art & craft festivals. Check out our news & events listing and our partner's websites to find your next event to visit us in person or view our pieces up close.
